'see me' has now been running for a while a programme of Regional Meetings - one each quarter - held around Scotland. Our first meeting in Dundee on 1st April 2009 was a great success involving local groups and interested individuals.
We then followed this up with a fantastic meeting in Edinburgh at the end of June. The event was completely over-subscribed and it was sad having to turn potential attendees away! The meeting heard from the Campaign Director, about current and future priorities, and then saw two showcases of local work – both financed by NHS Lothian’s Small Grants Scheme. Powerpoint presentations and photos are available.
Following this we had a fully subscribed meeting again on 1st March 2010, this time in Kilmarnock. In addition to presenting local showcases, a number of people had an opportunity to add their photo and message of support on our new online "Wall of Support".
We have since had three further meetings, one in Glasgow in June 2010, one in Inverness in November 2010 and another in Lanarkshire in March 2011. Our next meeting is in Inverurie on 9th June 2011 and will be open to anyone from the Grampian area who'd like to come along. If you would like more information about this event or book a place, please contact the 'see me' team to book your place.
If you'd like to be informed about our future meetings in your area of Scotland (the next one is in Inverness in September) then Pledge Your Support to 'see me' and make sure you highlight 'Yes' in the questions about whether you want to be invited to meetings.
